Quality Management System
At Albion Fisheries Ltd. we take food safety seriously because we care about the products we provide to you and that you sell to your customers. We use a HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) based program called QMP.
HACCP is an internationally recognized Food Safety system requiring that we be responsible for establishing, investigating and documenting:
- How in-house processes are controlled
- Ensure use of acceptable materials (packaging, cleaners and product)
- Employee training
- Facility inspections
- Product monitoring
- Sanitation practices
- Documentation procedures
- Corrective Action & Recall procedures
Albion is federally registered and regularly monitored by CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency), meaning we meet and/or exceed their stringent regulations. As a Federally Registered Facility, that follows the QMP plan, we are able to globally import and export product; providing a wide range of options and assurance that all of our seafood is closely monitored for quality at all stages.
